Editorial Standards
How Pitwright content is made
Pitwright publishes practical guidance for planning and managing barbecue cooks. Guides in the Learn library are written and maintained by Pitwright Editorial. Here is what that means.
Numbers come from one source
Temperatures, times, and rub measurements in the guides are kept consistent with the cook data built into the Pitwright app. When that data changes, the guides that reference it are re-checked and corrected in the same pass.
Times are estimates, not guarantees
Cooking times are estimates. Equipment, weather, cut shape, and the individual piece of meat all change timing, sometimes by hours. Judge doneness by internal temperature and texture, as the guides describe, not by the clock.
Corrections and updates
Articles may be corrected or updated when the underlying guidance changes. Each article shows the date it was last updated.
What Pitwright does not publish
No fake reviews, no fabricated ratings or testimonials, and no claims of hands-on product testing that did not happen. Gear pages carry their own disclosure about store links.
